Official Mascot
My name is Clancette Marie, but you can call me Clancy! I am the official Muppet Mascot of Grote Veterinary Clinic, where my mom (Dr. Solomon) is a veterinarian. I was born in Weatherford, TX at the McDavid Cutting Horse ranch, and am named after the character in The Man from Snowy River. I am a cross breed of an Australian Cattle Dog and a Smithfield Sheepdog, which is an old herding breed from Australia—just in case you were wondering why I look different than most heelers (although, my mom tells me I look like an off-brand Muppet). I am a very dedicated member of the GVC staff, and have lots of responsibilities, including: boosting team morale, supervising tasks- cleaning/doing surgery packs with Erin or closing out the front desk with Charlene and Vanda, quality testing of the different treats/cookies we offer patients, making sure any hospitalized baby livestock are being guarded and snuggled, modeling for our social media, and being my mom’s number one farm call assistant. In my spare time I can be found at home with my heeler brother Woodrow, either napping upside down on the back of the couch or patrolling the yard with my frisbee.
